Why are these wierd bumps on my nose?

Every few months my nose gets these weird bumps that start out small and gradually grows bigger. They're kind of purple sometimes but red most of the time. They don't hurt and they aren't squishy but they're firm. Can someone help me identify whats on my nose and how to get rid of it?
