Would Christians believe in Scientific theories if the scientists added that god inspired them?

Isn't that why they believe the bible, because the writers added that god inspired them? Isn't it pretty gullible to believe people just because they claim to be inspired by god? People could right anything in the bible and just add that god inspired it and then christians would believe it, don't you think it is a bit stupid to believe a book with no evidence, at least science is based on evidence?
