Can you put a humbucker pickup on a fender strat?

Yes. If the bridge pickup hole is only large enough for a single coil, then you'll want the space hollowed out by a luthier. Otherwise, get Seymour-Duncan Hotrails, they're single coil sized humbuckers for Strats.
