Any good non-fiction books on Blue Collar American Towns?

I recently finished reading Friday Night Lights and loved its portrayal of a blue-collar Texan Town in the 80s. I'm looking for some similar books with insight into these towns/communities and how they have developed. The books don't need to be sports related. Thanks for the help.
